Financial Advisor

As a Financial Advisor with Life Certain, you will work directly with individuals, helping them to realize their retirement goals by providing solutions based on research and needs analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for clients on a referral basis within clearly defined markets
  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients
  • Expanding personal knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and joint work with fellow associates

Tax Professional

The successful candidate will emphasize multi-year tax planning with a focus on helping clients structure transactions in a tax-efficient manner. Working alongside our financial advisors and estate planning attorney, this individual will help clients align their financial goals with tax efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual, corporate and fiduciary tax returns
  • Prepare retirement plan distribution statements and tax strategy plans for clients
  • Work with our advisors to develop comprehensive financial plans for our clients
  • Assist financial advisors in developing forward-looking tax strategies for our clients
  • Serve as subject matter expert on income tax to other team members
  • Provide bookkeeping services for various business entities

 

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in federal and state compliance work in public accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and manage multiple projects with varying priorities
  • General understanding of taxation surrounding portfolio investments, retirement and estate planning, closely held businesses and charitable planning
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Proficient in tax preparation accounting software
